Anthony J. Badame, M.D.

Dr. Anthony Badame grew up in San Jose, California. He graduated from the University of California at Berkeley and Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed an interneship in internal medicine and a residency in dermatology at Charity Hospital in New Orleans.

Dr. Badame's achievements include Tulane University's Top Medical Graduate Award, election into Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and Louisiana's Outstanding Dermatologic Research Award. He was chosen among his peers as a Top Doctor of Silicon Valley and was elected into the prestigious Best Doctors of America. Dr. Badame is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and fellow of the the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

He is adjunct clinical assistant professor at Stanford University and is on the medical staff at O'Connor Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. Additionally, Dr. Badame belongs to the Santa Clara County Medical Association and the California Medical Association.

Since 1987, Dr. Badame has been performing hair transplantation. He has first hand experienced the evolution from large round grafts to micro and follicular unit grafts. This has provided Dr. Badame a seasoned perspective in evaluationg new candidates for hair transplantation as well as evaluating patients in need of repair of old round style punch grafts. Dr. Badame recognizes that a successful hair transplant can only be achieved with a talented team. Therefore, he performs all procedures with Tanya Bates who is one of the most accomplished transplant technicians in the country.


Tanya is a native of the Bay Area. Her interest in hair transplantation began in 1994 when she began working for Dr. James Arnold, a premier hair transplant surgeon and pioneer in mini grafting techniques. After Dr. Arnold retired, Tanya became a consultant for several transplant teams across the country and has even traveled to Italy to teach. She is now the primary assistant in all transplants performed by Dr. Badame. Tanya is highly skilled in all phases of the transplant process including graft harvesting, follicular unit preparation, and graft placement.

Marilen and Melissa

Marilen holds a bachelor of science degree in Health Sciences from San Jose State University. Melissa attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she received her bachelor of science degree in Microbiology. She further went on to postgraduate work where she received a degree in Clinical Laboratory Science.

Both Marilen and Melissa specialize in graft preparation. Together with Tanya they meticulously prepare several hundred micro and follicular unit grafts for each patient. Marilen, Melissa, and Tanya have been working together for several years thus creating an established team on which patients can rely.
